Build A Business
You’ve completed your coach training and passed your ICF credentialing exams. But how do you start your practice?
At the Academy of Coaching and NLP, we don’t just stop at training. We believe that building a successful coaching practice is every bit as important as learning how to coach. ACN is dedicated to helping you start and build your business every step of the way. Our faculty members have all successfully built their own six-figure coaching practices, and we want to give you all the ingredients to making a good living as a coach, too.
ACN’s business building training for coaches will get you off to a good start and provide you with the resources to:
- Develop an exciting and do-able business plan based on your unique vision
- Attract your first clients and build in more clients along the way
- Define, communicate, and position your value as a coach through a tailored marketing plan
Here are the details on ACN’s three-step business building model that provides you everything you need to get started on your coaching practice.
Step One: Developing your unique coach business plan:
We’ll support you by providing a series of telecourses through our Coach Business Building Academy. Or, if you wish, you can work one-on-one with a business/marketing coach. The telecourses or business coach will show you how to set your goals and define the steps to get there. We’ll begin by discovering your most furthest-reaching vision for your practice, then work out a strategic plan about how to get there. Along the way, you’ll learn how to set your fees, how to attract clients, and how to budget and manage finances.
Step Two: Attracting clients:
Enrolling your first clients can be challenging when you’re starting out. In order to help you find clients outside your immediate circle of family and friends, ACN will help refer you to clients through our unique Affordable Coaching network. This is a referral service, unique to ACN, which pairs you with clients on a budget who are looking for a coach. The budget-conscious coaching client will pay $35 per hour directly to you. As an ACN student, you can qualify to take part in this referral service by successfully completing our training courses and by completing a series of 10 mentoring sessions with one of our MCCs. After you receive your ICF credential, we can help you build access to clients through our International Referral List coming soon and our Coaches Connection network.
Step Three: Marketing your Services:
Marketing your services is essential not only for getting a good start as a coach but for building your practice over the course of your career. Taking a pro-active approach to marketing means defining your uniqueness and what makes you super powerful as a coach. Through our marketing seminars and telecourses, you’ll learn to define your niche, identify your unique brand, create a plan to communicate strategically and effectively to different audiences, and use all of the powerful marketing tools in the kit to promote yourself and your business.
